How to apply for your rebate
- Before beginning an energy efficiency upgrade, check the qualifying equipment lists below.
- Install your energy equipment upgrade. For your convenience, we have a list of contractors on our website. You are free to use any contractor of your choice.
- Once your new equipment is installed, you can complete your application online, mail, or email a completed application to us.
How to qualify for your rebate
- All efficiency measures must have been purchased and installed on or after January 1, 2025.
- All measures are eligible only if the residence has primary natural gas heating and are eligible only as retrofit installation in existing homes.
- Rebate quantities are limited. WarmWise rebates and program offerings are not guaranteed. Program funding is limited to levels approved by the Virginia State Corporation Commission.
- Rebate and program requests are processed and approved on a first-come, first-served basis.
What equipment qualifies for a rebate?
High-efficiency natural gas water heater
$50 rebate for a natural gas storage water heater with an UEF of ≥.68.
$200 rebate for a natural gas storage water heater with an UEF of ≥.81.
$150 rebate for a natural gas tankless water heater with an UEF of ≥.92.
$250 rebate for a natural gas tankless water heater with an UEF of ≥.95.

High-efficiency natural gas furnace or boiler
$300 rebate for a natural gas furnace or boiler with an AFUE of ≥ 90%.
$400 rebate for a natural gas furnace with an AFUE of ≥ 95%
$500 rebate for a natural gas furnace with an AFUE of ≥ 97%
